We founded Ceiling Innovations in 2003 to respond to the need to remove thousands of out of date Plastic Dome ceilings and plastic office ceilings installed in beautiful homes. In it’s day plastic was very popular because was a new age type of material. It was easy for the builders to install while giving a different look. Now, years later, we learn that as plastic gets old the heat from the lights dries it out, it turns yellow, it cracks, and it falls down on you when you try to change the bulbs. Office ceiling (also called grid ceiling) are seen in doctor offices, department stores and your bathroom. Some times even in your kitchen, they are cheap and ugly. Dome ceiling populate both kitchens and bathrooms. They are the worst for drying out turning yellow and being a real pain to reinstall after changing a light bulb.
